Micah Mallace

President

Micah is President of Harbor Logistics. He was previously Chief Commercial Officer of the South Carolina Ports Authority where he worked since 2011 in various roles relating to the growth of the Port. The Port of Charleston has been the fastest growing major port in the U.S. since 2009, and Micah was instrumental to that growth, including his role in attracting billions of dollars of new manufacturing, distribution, speculative warehousing, and supporting infrastructure.

Micah previously worked for Riverstone Residential, handling property management within the multifamily sector, and for Vail Resorts, handling sales for the resort company.

Micah graduated from the College of Charleston with a Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management degree and an MBA in Finance. He has been fascinated with the economics of global supply chains since circumnavigating the world, visiting ports in Asia, India, Africa and Latin America on a study abroad program.

Chris is CFO of Harbor Logistics and brings with him a successful track record of leading finance and accounting teams with a focus on improving an organization’s financial reporting and controls. Chris has 10+ years of experience supporting businesses in the transportation and logistics industries. Most recently, Chris served as the Chief Financial Officer for PEOPLEASE, one of the nation’s largest Professional Employer Organizations (PEO), providing value-add, business solutions to small and medium sized business in the trucking, warehousing and manufacturing industries.  

Prior to his work at PEOPLEASE, Chris held several positions for Benefitfocus (NASDAQ: BNFT), a publicly traded software company, where Chris worked to build out the accounting processes and functions of a then newly public company.  Prior to Benefitfocus, Chris held various roles withing ConAgra Brands (NYSE: CAG), with a focus on process improvement and cost reductions. Chris began his career as an auditor for KPMG with a focus on global manufacturing and distribution clients.

Chris holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting from James Madison University.

Jeff Holzbauer

Chief Operating Officer

Jeff Holzbauer is COO of Harbor Logistics. Jeff has over 15 years of experience in Supply Chain and has worked for Kohls Department Stores, Daimler Trucks North America, along with Walmart before joining Harbor Logistics. Jeff has also worked on projects including building startups and designs, supply chain optimization, labor management, WMS implementation, and a variety of continuous improvement initiatives utilizing his Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma knowledge. Jeff was previously General Manager and Senior Director of Supply Chain for Walmart, where he successfully opened and ran a 3M square foot Import Facility before working on supply chain optimization.

Jeff graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, earning Academic All-Big Ten honors while playing football.
