Dawson Smith

Dawson Smith brings more than 15 years of leadership experience across finance, operations, banking, and logistics. Prior to joining Harbor Logistics, he served in executive leadership roles at JEAR Logistics, including CFO, COO, and Vice President of Operations, where he helped scale the company from approximately $40 million to more than $330 million in annual revenue while improving profitability, operational efficiency, and organizational performance.

As a strategic and results-driven executive, Dawson has extensive experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, treasury management, process improvement, technology transformation, and business strategy. Throughout his career, he has built high-performing teams, implemented scalable financial infrastructures, and led initiatives leveraging automation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to drive growth and operational excellence.

Before entering the logistics industry, Dawson held leadership positions with Wells Fargo Bank and SunTrust Bank, where he specialized in commercial banking, credit analysis, and relationship management. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Wofford College.

As CFO of Harbor Logistics, Dawson is responsible for leading the company’s financial strategy, accounting, treasury, reporting, and long-term growth initiatives while supporting Harbor’s commitment to operational excellence and customer success.
